Andean Living Experience

Your cultural adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 8:00 am. Leaving the city behind, we travel through picturesque valleys and traditional villages toward one of the Andean communities that proudly preserve their ancestral way of life.

Upon arrival, you will receive a warm traditional welcome from the local families, who will introduce you to their customs, history, and daily routines. This is an opportunity to learn firsthand how generations have maintained their traditions while adapting to modern life.

Depending on the agricultural season, you may participate in activities such as planting, harvesting, caring for livestock, or learning traditional farming techniques that have sustained Andean communities for centuries.

Next, local artisans will demonstrate the complete textile process, from spinning alpaca wool to creating vibrant natural dyes extracted from native plants, flowers, and minerals. You will also have the opportunity to try weaving using traditional backstrap looms under the guidance of experienced artisans.

Later, enjoy a delicious homemade lunch prepared with fresh regional ingredients while sharing stories and conversations with your hosts in a relaxed family atmosphere.

During the afternoon, learn about the Andean worldview through traditional ceremonies, local music, or cultural demonstrations that highlight the deep spiritual connection between the people, nature, and the surrounding mountains.

Before returning to Cusco, you will have time to explore the community, take photographs, purchase locally made handicrafts, and thank your hosts for their warm hospitality.

Our transportation then returns comfortably to Cusco, arriving at your hotel in the late afternoon.
