Itinerary

Your culinary adventure begins at a centrally located meeting point or with hotel pickup, depending on the selected package.

The first stop is the famous San Pedro Market, Cusco’s oldest and most traditional market, where your guide will introduce you to a fascinating variety of native products including potatoes, corn, quinoa, medicinal herbs, tropical fruits from the Peruvian Amazon and traditional spices.

As you walk through the market, you’ll sample fresh local fruits, artisan cheeses, regional breads and other authentic Andean specialties while learning about the ingredients that define Peruvian cuisine.

Continue through the historic streets of Cusco, visiting carefully selected local restaurants, cafés and traditional eateries where you’ll enjoy a variety of regional dishes prepared using recipes passed down through generations.

Depending on the day’s menu and the selected operator, tastings may include specialties such as ceviche, lomo saltado, ají de gallina, rocoto relleno, tamales, empanadas, anticuchos, or traditional Andean soups.

During the experience, you’ll also have the opportunity to sample traditional beverages such as chicha morada, mate de coca, emoliente or locally roasted Peruvian coffee.

The tour concludes with a traditional dessert or sweet treat before returning to the city center.
